SUPPORT US – Scramble Golf Fundraiser – Sept 19, 2020

On Saturday September 19th, 2020 we will be hosting the 7th Annual West Coast Multiplex Scramble fundraiser golf tournament at the Long Beach Golf Course. In 2014 this event took over for the popular Stick in the Mud golf tournament, which ran strong for 13 years, making this year the 20th anniversary of this amazing community event!  We are committed to providing a safe environment for the event in accordance with health guidelines, so while this year’s event will be a little different, we are proud to carry on the tradition in 2020.

It is an exciting time for the Multiplex as we are in the capital fundraising phase and currently waiting to see if we will receive a grant from the “Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program”.  This grant alone could provide up to 100% of the estimated $18 million that will be required to build Phase One of the facility.  While we anticipate that the majority of the funds required to build the facility will come from various government grants, the support of our local community remains as important as ever.

We are writing this letter to request corporate sponsorship for the tournament in one of three ways.  This year we are once again offering tournament sponsorships for $500 as well as hole sponsorships for $250.  New this year, we are also offering hole sponsorships on the mini-golf course for only $100.  The support of our corporate sponsors is absolutely critical to the strong success of this tournament and we hope to have you involved.  As a tournament sponsor your name will appear on the posters advertising the tournament, you will be promoted throughout the event, and you will also be promoted on our website and throughout the following year leading up to the 2021 tournament.  Hole sponsors will be promoted at the event as well as have the chance to promote themselves on one of the holes during the tournament.  As in the past, the tournament will be a fun 9-hole Texas Scramble with a combined team mini golf challenge.  Everyone is welcome to attend. Alternatively, our tournament is also in need of any form of donation whether it be physical goods or gift certificates to use as prizes and auction items.  Volunteer hours are also always needed.

It would be appreciated if you can respond to this letter with your decision by Friday July 31st, 2020.  We do not need to collect the sponsorship money by that date, but we would like to know as soon as possible so that we can move forward with printing posters, tournament gifts, etc.

We are certainly very fortunate for the incredible support that local businesses provide towards local fundraising efforts and we would be delighted to have you involved in working towards this important goal.
